Laurel 2-door Hardtop 2000SGL-E (1979: KHC231)

Laurel opened the personally-owned car market in Japan when it was rolled out in 1968. The third generation in 1977 was a model designed on the concept of a sophisticated, stately, luxurious, and fashionable car for owners of upper class.
The lineup was traditional 2-door hardtop and 4-door sedan, and 4-door hardtop with no B pillars. This 4-door hardtop is a body structure first introduced in Japan for NISSAN "Cedric / Gloria" in 1972. It became a popular category that realized beautiful form, sense of openness, comfortableness, and utility, and created a trend in the personally-owned car market in Japan that lasted for decades.
This is a 2-door hardtop SGL-E in elegant copper brown.
